Who is Yaya's Summer Camp for?
Yaya's Summer Camp is for children ages 6–12 who have completed Kindergarten. We welcome kids from all backgrounds — our program is designed to meet every child where they are.
Why do you start in late May and run through mid-August?
Because that's when families actually need coverage. Most camps skip the last week of May and shut down in early August. We start May 25 — the very first week school lets out — and we're still going into the second week of August. If you've ever scrambled for care at the beginning or end of summer, that problem ends here.
Do I have to enroll for the whole summer?
Not at all. Each week can be booked individually. You can join for one week, a few weeks, or all 13. Families who commit to the full summer get a reduced weekly rate of $200 plus two free bonus days before school starts.
How do I register?
Give us a call at 979-704-6204 to check availability and get started. We'll walk you through the weeks, answer your questions, and hold your spot with a deposit.
How many kids are in the camp?
We keep our groups intentionally small. Spots are limited to 30 — call us to check what's available for the weeks you want.
What does a typical day look like?
Every day starts outside — games, sports, and fresh air while it's still cool. The rest of the day is packed with hands-on activities: science experiments, building challenges, art, music, drama, food exploration, nature time, and more. Every week includes at least one sprinkler session with a frozen treat. No two weeks feel the same.
Is there a pool?
No. There is no pool and no open water. Water play means sprinklers only — safe, supervised, and genuinely fun.
Are there field trips?
No. All activities take place on-site. This keeps things simple and means your child is always somewhere familiar and supervised.
What is the meal plan?
Totally optional for those doing the full 13 weeks with us at $50/week. It covers breakfast, a morning snack, and lunch prepared on-site daily. Families who opt out should send a packed lunch and snack.
My child has a food allergy. Is that okay?
Yes. Let us know when you register and we'll work with you to make sure your child is safe and included.
What is the daily drop-in rate?
$60/day, available to families already enrolled. Must be arranged in advance — call us to set it up.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes — a one-time fee of $75 for new families. No registration fee for siblings or returning Yaya's families.
Is this connected to Yaya's Family Daycare?
Yes. Same team, same values, same love-like-family approach. Yaya's Family Daycare has held a Texas Rising Star 3-star credential since 2020. Summer camp is an extension of everything we already do — just for bigger kids, all summer long.
